Culture and Food Tour
Good experience with the private food tour. We started at the City Center (museum) and learned so much about the history and development of present Singapore. So interesting! Tasted many different food that we probably would not otherwise have done. Visited several neighborhoods. Lots to eat so start with an empty stomach. We had an amazing day exploring Singapore and seeing things we had never done previously when visiting. The range of food was great and there was the stories to match.
Leo, our guide was great. He helped my 90 year old mom get on a cab when she got tired halfway on the tour. The great advantage of being on a private tour😊. My husband, sister and I continued on with the tour and really enjoyed it.

Best way to see, explore, and eat in Singapore
We had an amazing experience on this food and culture tour. We chose to book this at the beginning of our week in Singapore to give us an overview of areas we might want to revisit, and to help us through the jet lag after traveling from the US.
James was an excellent tour guide, and was eager to share his love of Singapore and food with us. He met us in our hotel lobby, where he arranged a car for our first destination.
James guided us through Chinatown, offering us choices based on our family’s preferences along the way. Our kids were pleasantly surprised by the delicious foods he ordered for us from the hawker stalls, and the history and culture lessons he shared along the way were insightful. After Chinatown, we also went to explore Little India and Arab street via the MRT for more food and entertainment. Again, everything he ordered was fantastic! James gave us the option of taking the MRT or walking to our final stop. We chose walking to see more of Singapore, and were treated to seeing the locals enjoying a Saturday evening in a park as well as more culture and history lessons as we walked.
Our kids have requested to return to Chinatown for spring rolls, and rice cakes. They also said that I was right to have them skip lunch before we started our tour at 3:00 pm. This tour was a win!

We had a wonderful day tour of many of the best spots in Singapore! As one of the most unique culinary centers in the world, I would highly recommend taking this tour specifically if you are interested in getting an authentic experience at the Hawker centers and not the tourist traps.
Our tour guide Marcus Yeo was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and enthusiastic while showing us around a curated set of locations in the city. He gave us a lot of historical appreciation for Singapore, his energy was great to be around, and he imparted upon us an understanding of what this incredible city has to offer from the perspective of a local.
Thank you Monster Day Tours and especially Marcus for making our Singapore honeymoon fantastic!

Multi-cultural Singapore Experience!
What a fabulous way to experience the multi-cultural mix of Singapore. Our guide Bryan (Woopa Travels/Monster Day Tours) was awesome as he led us through the quarters of Singapore from China Town to Little India and then Kampong Glam(Malay). We sampled foods, heard about the history & some of the cultural highlights that make up modern Singapore. We talked & asked questions about the history as well as the current Singaporean way of life. Nothing was a problem & we thoroughly enjoyed our Singaporean experience.

Amazing food and culture tour!
James our guide was excellent. He was knowledgeable, friendly and great company on our 4 hour mainly walking tour. We felt we had really discovered a range of different aspects of Singapore abd enjoyed some superb food at some of the very best Chinese, Indian and Malay hawker stalls. We enjoyed lots if good including local coffee / toast and coconut jam, the star of the show a simply superb Hainese Chicken rice, the best birani we have ever tasted, a superb masala dosa and he perfect cup of chai. We also learnt a lot too and visited places we probably would not have noticed on our own.
James took incredible care of us and we had a wonderful time on the food and culture tour. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Singapore!

Superb tour and food stops
The tour was about 50% walking with stops at some of the main sights in the areas we visited, and about 50% visiting hawker centers and other small restaurants along the way. We got to try a real variety of food and drink, from traditional coffee and breakfast through to Malay style spicy noodles, with lots in between! We were absolutely stuffed by the end of the tour, to the point where we didn't need to eat again until very late in the evening.
All aspects of the places we visited were explained and any questions we had were answered knowledgeably and with humour (where appropriate!). It was also interesting to hear about some aspects of daily Singaporean life from our guide's perspective, and he was also very happy to share tips and advice for the rest of our trip whilst we were trying to eat as much food as we could.
