Singapore's gone proper mad for matcha, hasn't it? You can't seem to walk five minutes without someone mentioning it. It's the latest thing all the Gen Zs are raving about, and you see it popping up everywhere. Folks are either investing in their own matcha-making kits to have a go at home, or they're off on a grand tour of Singapore's cafes, sampling all their in-house matcha concoctions. It's fair to say, you can't really escape the green goodness these days.
Given how popular it is, we thought we'd put together a little guide highlighting some of the top spots where you can get your daily matcha fix, especially focusing on areas where our Monster Day Free Walking Tours happen to be. So, if you're out and about with us and suddenly get a craving for that earthy, slightly bitter delight, you'll know just where to head.

First up, Chinatown. When you're exploring the vibrant streets and soaking in the culture, you might fancy a bit of matcha to keep you going. You could pop into Spring Coffee, known for their decent brews and a matcha offering that's worth a try. Or, if you're feeling a bit peckish and fancy something savoury alongside your green tea, Tendon Kohaku has what you need and, of course, their Organic Kyoto Matcha Latte. And don't forget Hi Coffee, another spot in the area where you can often find a good cup of matcha to perk you up.

Next on our list is the bustling Kampong Glam. After wandering through the textile shops and admiring the Sultan Mosque, a matcha break might be just the ticket. No Strangers Here is a popular cafe that sells Strawberry Matcha and a Blue Matcha, which consists of coconut water, blue pea syrup, and matcha foam! Then there's Nirvana Dessert Cafe, where you can usually find some lovely fluffy pancakes alongside your drink. And if you're after something a bit different, Wooly's Bagel offers Halal bagel sandwiches to drink alongside their Strawberry Matcha Latte

Now, for Little India. While the heart of Little India itself doesn't have a huge number of dedicated matcha spots right on the doorstep, don't fret. Just a short walk away, you'll find a couple of gems. There's Moonchild Cafe, a cafe that's garnered a bit of a following for its quality matcha drinks and relaxed atmosphere which is even pet friendly!. And just a little further stroll will take you to Main Street Commissary, another place where you can often find a well-made matcha to satisfy your craving.

Finally, when you're down by the stunning Marina Bay, taking in the sights of the iconic skyline, you might be in need of a matcha pick-me-up. Luckily, The Matcha Project is right there, a cafe dedicated to all things matcha, offering a wide variety of green tea drinks and desserts. And just a stone's throw away, you'll find Kyo Kohee, a Japanese cafe where you can indulge in some authentic and high-quality matcha beverages.

So, there you have it. A list of places dotted around some of Singapore's most vibrant locations where you can easily get your daily dose of that oh-so-popular matcha. Whether you're a seasoned matcha enthusiast or just curious to see what all the fuss is about, these spots are worth checking out on your next adventure in Singapore.
