Weekend Night Market Hanoi

Located on Hang Duong Street, Weekend Night Market is a mix of experiences. It gets quite crowded, but it’s full of awesome stalls that will fulfil all of your shopping needs. Just like the name suggests, it’s only open during the weekends. This night market in Hanoi is a hot weekend hangout spot for families and friends, so you will surely love its lively atmosphere. There are some local food stalls, but most of the stalls sell clothing, accessories, and artisanal crafts.

Linh Nam Night Market

Nestled in the Hoang Mai area, Linh Nam Market is an awesome spot to get cheap goods. When the sun is out, the area is filled with stalls selling fresh produce. But as soon as the sun sets, the market transforms completely. You won’t find much fruit or veggies, but you will find everything else. All for a relatively fair price as well. There aren’t many food stalls in the Linh Nam night market, so it’s best to go after eating dinner.

Address: 317 Đường Tam Trinh, Hoàng Văn Thụ, Hoàng Mai, Hanoi

Hours: 8:00 PM - 1:00 AM, daily

Cho Phung Khoang Night Market

Phung Khoang Night Market is a smaller Hanoi night market that is filled with a youthful atmosphere. Like some of the other night markets in Hanoi on this list, Phung Khoang is a produce market during the daytime. However, when the night comes, it becomes a bustling hangout spot.

Phung Khoang is popular with students because of its affordability, and for the fact that it isn’t as crowded. Mind you, it will still be crowded, but less than some other well-known Hanoi night markets. Find clothing, shoes, cosmetics, and snack stalls here. It’s a great spot to check out on your vacation in Hanoi!

Address: Đồng Xuân, Hoàn Kiếm, Hanoi

Hours: 6:00 AM - 10.30 PM, daily

Quang Ba Flower Night Market

Visiting night markets in Hanoi is quite a unique experience, but the Quang Ba Flower night market has to be one of the more interesting ones. Walk down the streets of Quang Ba market and you’ll come across hundreds of flower stalls. Each one sells different types of flowers, from common ones to rare flowers.

Even if you are not planning on buying a bouquet of flowers, it is truly a beautiful site to see. You have to wake up early to get here, but it is well worth it. You will be surrounded by gorgeous, colourful and aromatic flowers. It’s a great spot for taking pictures, or for a picturesque walk.

Long Biên Market

Long Bien is not your typical night market. It is actually a wholesale produce market that mainly sells to restaurant owners looking for fresh ingredients. You may not be able to buy too much in Long Bien, but this Hanoi night market is incredibly picturesque. Grab your camera and snap some stunning pictures while visiting Long Bien.

It is open during the latest hours of the night into the start of the morning. You can see vendors selling everything from fresh produce to meat to flowers. There are a few stalls that sell drinks if you need a quick stop while exploring the beautiful market. If that isn’t enough to convince you, Long Bien was actually voted one of the best night street markets in the world. Now you have to visit and see what the hype is about! Don’t forget your camera!

Address: Long Bien Bridge, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi

Hours: 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM, daily

Old Quarter's Night Market

Located next to Weekend Night Market, Old Quarter's Night Market is an equally exciting night market. The whole street with the two Hanoi night markets becomes a pedestrian-only area, turning it into a slew of awesome night markets. All the locals love Old Quarter’s Market and for good reason. They sell everything! Even electronics!

The best way to get around this massive market is by renting a bike. That way you can explore the main streets, and all the little streets hidden in the corners of the Hanoi night market. When you start to get tired from biking or walking, take a break at the market's dining area. Snack on the numerous local delicacies or sip on some Vietnamese egg coffee. You’ll definitely get a good boost of energy drinking that.

Address: Hàng Đào, Hoàn Kiếm, Hanoi

Hours: Friday to Sunday 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Hoi An Night Market

With so many night markets on this list, you may be feeling overwhelmed deciding which to visit on your visit to Hanoi. No matter which you decide to visit, Hoi An Night Market is one that you must go to! This Hanoi night market is known to be one of the most beautiful and romantic markets in the city (and the world).

The main attraction of Hoi An has to be the bright, traditional lanterns that are sold in numerous stalls. Though the stalls are beautiful, what makes the market so beautiful is that you can light the lanterns and send them down the river. Watch the bright lanterns light up the night sky, and float along the dark river. It’s a stunning sight to see!

Enjoy this beautiful experience with local snacks that are commonly sold at Hoi An night market. One of the most popular snacks has to be the grilled octopus. Make sure to give it a try!

Ha Long Night Market

Hanoi is a large city with a diverse landscape. One of the best night markets in Hanoi has to be Ha Long. Perfectly located near Bai Chay Beach, the views while walking along the market are stunning. Take in the sandy beach views while shopping for handmade goods. Whether you’re looking for artisanal goods or souvenirs, you can find it all here at Ha Long.

There are plenty of food stalls, so definitely get a couple snacks while here. For the full experience, pick up a variety of local Vietnamese foods, then head down to the beach. Enjoy eating local delicacies while listening to the water splash against the sand. It sounds great, doesn’t it?

Nha Trang Night Market

If you’re looking for some unique souvenirs, Nha Trang is the Hanoi night market to visit. There are plenty of different local goods you can find here like fabrics, jewellery, or salangane nests. Take a peek at all of the handicrafts that are sold in the many stalls at Nha Trang night market. You won’t be disappointed!

Similar to Ha Long, Nha Trang is also a beachside night market in Hanoi. Walk along the beach and grab a drink at one of the cafes that line the market. There are usually some beach activities that happen at Nha Trang, but sitting back with a drink is lovely too!

Address: Trần Phú, Lộc Thọ, Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa 650000, Vietnam

Night market tips

  • Most of these night markets sell inexpensive goods, but when you are a tourist, sellers tend to hike up the price a bit. That’s why no matter where you go, you will have to haggle the price. It’s very common to haggle in Vietnam, so don’t be scared and try to haggle for a lower price.

  • Night markets in Hanoi can get quite busy, so keep an eye on your belongings. These markets are safe, but there will always be a few bad apples that will try and pickpocket.

  • Cars aren’t allowed in night markets, especially on weekends. The best way to go around these night markets is on foot.

Summary

Hanoi, Vietnam is full of amazing experiences - especially at night. Take a trip to any of the night markets on this list, and you will surely have a great time! Safe travels!
